As a jewelry artist, I share the tab of life that holds surprises, humor, melancholy, nonsense and poetry. I try to achieve a poetic statement through the materials I use such as wood, plaster, textiles etc. The techniques I use are guided by surfaces and form, and are thus subordinate to the expression and story that is told.
I often relate to the concepts of vanity and impermanence in jewelry. It is the same thing, but with different time dimensions. Stories become real and relevant when someone listens, and in order for someone to bother to listen, i have to find some key words that capture the wiewer or wearers interst. The clues can appear as a few stiches, a vibrent colour, a fragile surface, a perforation or hole in the building material,- elemnts of something You remember or have a good or bad relation to.
